Argos recruits specialist to drive digital transformation

Lucy Butler has joined Argos as special projects manager to help bring to life the retailer’s strategic vision to become a digital retail leader.

Reporting to digital director Bertrant Bodson, the new recruit has played a key role  the opening of Argos’ new digital hub office in Victoria and strategies to help customers get online in partnership with Go ON UK.

Butler joins from EMI Music, where she was most recently senior strategy and insight manager, working within the central strategy team to lead analysis and determine actionable insights to drive artist launch strategies with cross-functional stakeholders.

Prior to that she was a consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants, working across a number of sectors including retail, technology and media.

Commenting on her appointment, Butler said: “I am privileged to be a part of Argos’s transformation journey.

“It is such an exciting time for the business, and I have encountered so much forward thinking and appetite for change in the short time that I have been here already.”
